Paris itinerary for Joanne & Lee (Draft but with a few pictures) ...

Day 1 & 2 (Friday, April 8th to Saturday, April 9th) - Travel to Paris (Edmonton to Toronto to Paris)

Flights via Air Canada -

• AC 172 – Edmonton to Toronto (13:00 to 18:40) and AC 880 – Toronto to Paris (20:10 to 09:40)
• RER Train to downtown Paris and Metro at Les Halles to Richelieu Drouot (~˝ block north of our hotel)
• Hotel - Mercure Paris Cusset Opera (95 Rue de Richelieu)
• then after quick nap off to the Eiffel Tower for the evening (tower)

Day 3 (Sunday, April 10th) - Louvre Museum

• at the Louvre all day, its about 1km from out hotel and we prepurchased our entry from Ticket Web (Mona Lisa and Venus de Milo)

Day 4 (Monday, April 11th) - Paris Markets

After the evening at the Effiel Tower and a full day at the Louvre, were planning on starting the week of touring around the city by using our Paris Visite 5 day travel pass we prepurchased through RailEurope and taking a more relaxed look at the markets and churches before hitting more of the museums.

• Marche aus Puces St-Ouen de Clinancourt a grouping of more than a dozen flea markets that referred to as the world's leading antiques market
• Sacre-Coeur Basilica

Day 5 (Tuesday, April 12th) - Day 1 of 3 days of Museums with our Paris Museum Pass (also from RailEurope)

Using the sample itineraries from Frommers's Paris Attractions and targeting a start in Ile de la Cite progressing through -

• Notre-Dame Cathedral (and some gargoyles)
• Sainte-Chapelle
• Jardin des Tuilerries
• Champes-Elysees
• Arc de Tromphe
• Paris Opera

Day 6 (Wednesday, April 13th) - Day 2 of 3 days of Museums with our Paris Museum Pass

More museums (see Frommers's Paris Attractions for more info) -

• Musse d’Orsay;
• Assemblee Nationale (the French parliament)
• Hotel des Invalides (where Napoleon’s buried)
• Church of St-Sulpice

Day 7 (Thursday, April 14th) - Day 3 of 3 days of Museums with our Paris Museum Pass

Thursday starts with the latin Quarter and progressing on to the Marais neighbourhood (see Frommers's Paris Attractions for more info) -

• Musee National du Moyen-Age
• Pantheon
• Picasso Museum

Day 8 (Friday, April 15th) - Versailles

After 3 days of 'heads down' museums its time for a more relaxing day by taking the RER Train out to the Chateau de Versailles, Louis XIV's lavish palice in the country, and adjoining Royal Gradens and Grand Canel

Day 9 (Saturday, April16th) - Wrapup day around the city

More shopping (as flea markets open again on the Saturday), souvenir hunting, getting to what 'must sees' we missed during the week and maybe a boat ride on the Seine.

Day 10 (Sunday, April 17th) - Travel Home (Paris to Toronto to Edmonton)

Flights via Air Canada -

• AC 881 – Paris to Toronto (11:30 to 14:00) and AC 157 – Toronto to Edmonton (17:00 to 19:03)
